PowerStudent: Enhancing PowerSchool for WHPS Students
PowerStudent is a Chrome extension developed by Eric Zeiberg specifically for West Hartford Public School students. This extension aims to enhance the functionality of the PowerSchool page, providing students with helpful tools and information.
With PowerStudent, students can now add "fake" assignments to their classes to see how they would affect their average. This feature is particularly useful for students who want to know their potential grade based on different scenarios, such as "If I get an 85 on my test, what grade will I have now?" Additionally, students can also remove assignments from their classes to see how it would impact their average. This feature allows students to analyze their grades and identify areas for improvement.
One of the standout features of PowerStudent is the ability to see the GPA per quarter or semester in real-time as grades change. This feature provides students with instant feedback on their academic performance and allows them to track their progress throughout the school year.
PowerStudent is compatible with both total point grading systems and weighted grading systems, making it suitable for all types of classes. Students can easily switch between different grading systems and view their GPA accordingly.
Although PowerStudent is still in beta, it offers a range of valuable features for WHPS students. However, as with any beta software, there may be some bugs. If you encounter any issues, make sure to report them to Eric so that he can continue to improve the extension.
Stay tuned for more exciting updates and enhancements to PowerStudent in the near future!
